Entrepreneurship and Technology Innovation Concentration

The Horn Program in Entrepreneurship offers a concentration in Entrepreneurship & Technology Innovation for Lerner MBA students. The concentration is designed to serve the needs of those who may wish to launch a startup, foster innovation for an established company, or develop sustainable solutions to important social problems. Students pursuing the concentration will develop an entrepreneurial mindset, improve their influence skills, and gain an understanding of the process used to bring new ideas into the marketplace through hands on experience.

Students who choose to pursue the concentration are encouraged to participate in the many co-curricular & networking opportunities offered by the Horn Program, including becoming a licensee of the Venture Development Center, which serves as a student business hatchery/incubator, and competing in Hen Hatch, the University’s premier startup funding competition. The program also offers a variety of off-campus and international opportunities.  

About the Horn Program in Entrepreneurship The Horn Program in Entrepreneurship serves as a preeminent provider of entrepreneurial education. We help to improve social and economic wellbeing by: (1) offering inclusive, engaging & empowering educational programming for youths, undergraduates & graduate students, (2) weaving innovation & entrepreneurship into the University’s cultural fabric, and (3) unleashing pent up innovation by breaking down barriers and creating a robust resource ecosystem. Our courses feature small interdisciplinary enrollments, hands on activities, and faculty with entrepreneurial experience.        

Concentration Requirements Three courses totaling nine credits are required (a twelve credit graduate certificate in Entrepreneurship & Technology Innovation is also offered, visit www.udel.edu/horn.)
